YouTube Atheist Movement

In Microsoft's prominent Windows Vista introductory video, Bill Gates stated that there are five times as many PCs in the home now (2007) as there were about one decade ago. With high-speed internet dominating the slow connections, internet costs rapidly dropping, MySpace being a topic of conversation more than the radio, and cell phones with internet being expected, the internet has a profound impact on real life. According to Alexa Traffic Rank, YouTube has the 4th highest traffic rating, higher than MySpace. To get to the point, YouTube has substantial power to influence the world, and atheism is blowing up on it!

Indoctrinated children who grew up in religious environments have come to YouTube hearing the reasoning of atheists, something they may have never had a fair chance to hear. They finally received a chance to hear other sides of the story, and some people say YouTube had great influence in their atheist conversion. I can personally attest a Richard Dawkins YouTube video, the God Delusion documentary, was immensely reassuring to my disbelief in God. This video was removed from YouTube for copyright reasons, but you can view it below:

As far as an organized or established movement between YouTube users, there have apparently been several. Some abide by the logic: "Religion invades our beliefs, so let's defend our right to be treated as an equal."

Others have expressed that such a stance might resemble fundamental and organized religions, even though science/atheism is based off of evidence while religion is built on baseless faith. With or without variation in movement approach preference, the all-around mass of atheists influencing humanity via YouTube is no joke. That's what I mean when I say YouTube Atheist Movement. The atheist videos generally always have a four or five star rating, while the creationist and religious ones get a one or two. Individuals used to being a minority can now join the majority.

Not only is atheism on YouTube booming in popularity, the internet as a medium for influence is booming. The immense rate of rising atheist influence is unspeakable. This may mark a powerful stage in history concerning vanishment of religion. It might sound outlandish but I challenge you to watch the atheist content appending to YouTube for just one week. It's simply amazing.
